“Raise your voice for change, hands down on violence”

Project Overview

“Raise your voice for change, hands down on violence” („Крени глас за промена, спушти рака за насилство“) is a youth initiative that was carried by a group of high school students and members of the Association of citizens “Youth Can – Младите можат” from Skopje and of the Association for civil activism FORUM 16. The duration of the initiative was from 10th February till 10th March 2016.

Activities:

The following activities were implemented:

– Online survey;

– Simulation;

– Training – the aim of the one day training course for high school students from Gymnasium “Josip Broz Tito” – Bitola and “Nikola Karev” Skopje was to raise awareness of the existence of psycho-physical violence among high school students. The training was carried out in cooperation with PSIHESKO – the first Macedonian Association of Students for Psychology. The training aimed also to familiarize participants with the causes and consequences of the existence of this phenomenon and to give them skills to prevent it.

This initiative was part of the Project of the National Youth Council of Macedonia, supported by the USAID and The Foundation for Open Society–Macedonia.
